However within a year, in March 1906, Sid married Eliza Jane's 17 year old daughter Helena. Their baby was born a month later. |

They arrived from Victoria by boat, which Ruby described as'a little old tub called the Kyara ' (Coy, p 54). They appear to have been making for Fremantle but the rough weather and heavy seas in the Great Australian Bight made it necessary for the passengers to be taken off at Albany. |
