fruit grower (1923), small holder (1939)
Residence
I believe the house still exists in Fen Road, on the west side of Parson Drove. Address is 31 Fen Road, or Crowson Sadler on planning maps. On the south side of the road, it has three gables with a mock Tudor timber effect. It looks like a single large house, with central doorway entrance, though was built apparently as a pair of semi-detached houses. I was told that the Moore family lived in the half nearer the village centre. The house looks to have been built c.1905. More recently, (c.2000-10) modern houses and bungalows have been built along Fen Road on what was open land. Further along Fen Road, with six modern bungalows in between, is another older pair of houses called Swan Bridge Farm (no 5 and 6). On maps pre-dating the recent development both this and the house identified as the 'Moore' house are named Swan Bridge Farm. (Robert Moore, April 2016)
